Ecological textile testing

Well tailored fashions, beautiful shoes and handbags all make us look better. So what kind of textiles can make us comfortable? Every consumer is concerned about this issue. At present, the products that can be labeled with "eco textile" certification are products with high safety level Zui. The concept of eco textiles mainly comes from the "Oeko-Tex Standard 100" issued by the International Association for research and inspection of eco textiles in 1991, which emphasizes the waste treatment after use; the treatment in the production process; and the products are harmless to users. At present, the most influential eco textile certification in the world are the eco textile certification "Oeko tex" of the International Association for research and inspection of eco textiles and the eco label of the European Union. China also promulgated the national standard GB / T 18885-2002 "technical requirements for ecological textiles" on November 22, 2002. We believe that textiles meeting these requirements can bring you peace of mind and comfort.

TST standard test provides you with all the test items in the regulatory requirements:

PH value, formaldehyde content, extractable heavy metals, hexavalent, pesticides, phenols, azo / sensitizing / carcinogenic dyes, chlorobenzene and chlorotoluene, phthalates, organotin, color fastness, volatile organic compounds, odor, asbestos, pH value

The pH value of human skin ranges from 4.5 to 6.0. Slightly acidic can protect skin against bacteria and viruses. As people get older and older, their skin will become more and more neutral and can't resist bacteria as before. Neutral or slightly acidic textiles are beneficial to human body. If the pH of textiles is too high or too low, the skin surface is easily damaged.

formaldehyde

Formaldehyde endows the textiles with the functions of anti shrinking, anti wrinkle and non ironing. This kind of volatile substance is easy to release from the fabric, thus damaging human health, especially causing irritation to the respiratory tract mucosa.

Extractable heavy metals

report errors

銻(Sb)

砷(As)

鉛(Pb)

鎘(Cd)

總鉻(Cr)

鈷(Co)

銅(Cu)

鎳(Ni)

汞(Hg)

六價鉻(Cr VI)

Plants will absorb heavy metals in the soil in the process of planting. There are heavy metals in the textile post-treatment process and various dyes. When heavy metals enter human body, they will accumulate in organs. Once the accumulation reaches a certain degree, it will have a serious impact on our health. We simulated human sweat and extracted these heavy metals to detect the content of heavy metals in textiles.

Azo / sensitizing / carcinogenic dyes

The dyestuffs in clothing fabrics have been in contact with skin for a long time, so their safety is undoubtedly very important. Azo dyes are a kind of common dyes, which are widely used in textile and leather industry. However, some of the dyes can be reduced to aromatic amines which are harmful to human health. Some highly dispersed dyes in water, molecules are very small, long-term contact with the skin may be absorbed. Some of the dyes are considered to be sensitizing and carcinogenic.

Phthalates

Phthalate is a common plasticizer, which will be added into plastics and coatings to enhance their properties. Recent studies have shown that some phthalates have adverse effects on children's development, so there are strict restrictions on toys for infants to import.

Organotin

Organotin has antibacterial, mildew and other biological killing effects, and is used in shoe lining, gloves, children care products and other products. High concentrations of organotin are neurotoxic when absorbed through the skin.

Color fastness

Color fastness is the basic requirement of consumers for product performance, which directly reflects the product quality. Dye shedding not only affects the appearance of the garment, but also is more likely to be absorbed by the human body through the skin. Four color fastness indexes are selected in the eco textile standard, which are water stain, perspiration stain (acid / alkaline), abrasion resistance (dry / wet) and saliva (especially for infants). Color fastness to saliva and perspiration is particularly important for infant clothing, because infants can absorb dyes through saliva and perspiration.
